About Endeavour

Endeavour was created out of a need to break away from traditional ‘investment adviser’ models and question established thinking that may no longer hold true.

The roles of Financial Planner, Investment Adviser, Asset Manager or Stock Broker each have their strengths and weaknesses. Many advisers do a good job of advice or investment, but not both.  Endeavour has rigorously developed both aspects to deliver the best possible solution for advice and investment.

Financial Planning and the ability to have a wider perspective is valuable not just for strategy, but also to ensure portfolios are relevant to clients’ needs.  However, we feel that many advisers are too removed from frontline investing.  Rather than outsource all investment to fund managers, we employ specialist research and a developed skillset to do our own portfolio construction and management.

Fixed interest and income securities are sourced from New Zealand and shares mostly via US and Hong Kong exchanges. Part of our philosophy is that China will continue to be a centre of global growth and our portfolios hold a heavier than typical weighting to Chinese companies.

Where we further differ from stock brokers and other advisers is our ability to employ financial analysis in areas other than just investment.  We advise on property portfolios, conduct project analysis, and can create tailored software solutions for trouble shooting, problem solving or sensitivity analysis.

This makes our offering particularly useful for trust funds, group family investments, business people, or anyone requiring a degree of management or guiding influence with decision making and not just an investment solution.
